In 2001 I took out a loan for a bike and faithly kept up payments and finally paid it off April 2008 on time. During that time toward the end of the payoff I call Harley-Davidson Credit for the payoff which I process quickly. A few days later I call Harley-Davidson if I still owe any money and to my surpise they said I did around 40 dollars and I sent it off again. I ask the agent if he was sure that would be it and he said he was sure. I question why I paid the first payoff and I still had another payoff, maybe it didn't make it in time and it acurred interest during that time.

So a month went by and I recieved the title for the bike and a letter stating that the bike was all my and thanking me for doing business with them and looking forword to do more business. A month later I got another statment for $318.90. I call Harley-Davidson Credit about it and they didn't why it was there. I told I had the title and the letter, so they pass me off to the next level until said they were charging for a mistake on their part about a payment they miss posted in Febuary for $300 and they didn't correct until April. I told them I didn't see a payment for $300 in Febuary, March or April or retaction on my statments. They told me I would see it because they fix it.

How about the letter they sent me and title, Harley-Davidson Credit said that didn't mean nothing. I've dealt with a few companies that seem to do these same practice, you try to settle with your debt and they bring up more payments and threaten to ruin your credit.
