I have a very bad problem I would like to share with people to make sure that it doesnt happen again to someone else.

I live 20 min from Harrahs Casino in Metropolis, Il. I have always had a good time, dont win a lot, but that is to be expected. I eat there often, and everyone there knows me pretty good. I spend a great deal of money there,(for me anyways.)

I can honestly say that until now I have never had a complaint. It started when a casino host Called me on my phone and offered me a room, in there new hotel that had just been built. I accepted there offer, and had a pleasant stay, clean, comfortable rooms. I liked it and told everyone how nice it was. I recevied a few more invitations, took them up on the offers and everthing was good, I thought.

Upon check in to the hotel they ask for a credit card for any incidentals, which is fairly standard in the hotel industry. When I have a room the only thing I do in it is sleep. I eat, gamble, go to the diamond lounge to hang out. So this has never been a issue. Until I checked my bank statements from the month that I stayed in the hotel these numberous times. I couldnt believe that they charged each time $50.00. I called thinking it was a mistake. They told me it was standard that they charge this. I called the host, she said that because I didnt go to the desk and manually check out that this was the reason of my charges. I leave the rooms just like I entered with the exception of a non-made bed. I couldnt believe this charge me for nothing. I've called many people trying to get a refund on something that should have never been charged, without a reason, movies, phone, or something which they agree i have never used.

Finally they have called me and told me that the charges will be put back into my account which is a debit account and due to this I have been charged a overdraft from my bank that accrues daily and it will be 2-3 weeks before I get a refund. So thats my story of the hotel from hell,(excuse the french.)

I stay quite regularly at the Harrah's St Louis, always with a free room, and have never had a problem. I always check-out using the option available on the TV in the room. No lines, works great, and I've never had any charges that were unauthorized. Now if I just won more...LOL
