Complaint Review: HARRIS COMPANIES - LIBERTY IMMIGRATIONS SERVICES

On november 3rd 2008, I called what I thought was the INS 800 number. This Lady by the name of ARI answered. She said she was an agent in-training. I explained to her thatmy Son had already turned 18 when I was swear-in for my citizenship. This was due to me missing my first appointment and had to reschelduled at a later date. She stated that my Son would not have to pay the $699.00, I woould pay $410.00 and they would have the other portion waived. She then put on her supervisor, a male who said he was agent....and he confirmed her story and said I just need to give them the payment and he would set up a phone interview with my son for November 18th to get additional informations. They were sending us paperworks to fill out requiring the waiver. The $410.00 was taken from my checking account.
My Son never get a call, so he called. This time he got the REAL IMMIGRATIONS AGENT , who told him they have no records of an appointment or any paperworks to be mailed out. When I looked at my on line-banking , I was SHOCKED to see that the payment was taken out by Harris Company in Colorado Spring. This was the first time I was hearing of them. I looked up the company and called the number on their website and ask to speak with Ari, she came on the phone, I told her I want my money back and asked why are they impersonating immigration agents? She quickly told me she will have someone call me back. No one did. I am now out $410.00
