Harris Digital Publishing - Net Detective is huge rip-off Don't be fooled by bogus 4 star rating you won't find anything out! Leland Florida
I used this service, advertized as a free service through google serch, fell for the hype then signed up for the one time charge of $29.95 for 3 years and got nothing I couldn't have gotten for free searching the phonebook -- a long list of people with the same name as the person I was trying to check out and their addresses! Nothing much more! Then I got the bill and I was charged the $29.95 + $30.00 more for no apparent reason. This site has a bogus 4 star rating and recommendations by government agencies which have to be false. This site is impossible to navigate -- no information is readily available and everything is always only available with an additional charge, then it isn't really available at all!

If you read all the reports here, you will see that many have trouble getting refunds. They will give you a refund if your persistent, but it is often a long and arduous process. They do this to skirt the law as they know that a majority will not go through this process or give up.
I was one of them, despite filing reports with the BBB report which were never resolved (they kept sending the same answer back, ignoring my accusation and not taking any corrective measures).
It also makes me made that credit card companies continue to allow these people to take our money, as well as google who allows them to advertise. This is an established fraud, just read their BBB report.

While Net Detective did not provide the information I thought they would, they were prompt and courteous in refunding my money. The entire refund process only took about three days.
