Harris Cattle Ranch Low cost meat scam Eugene Oregon
Let me first state that "Harris Cattle Ranch" and or "Alps Ranch" maybe legitimate businesses that simply had their online profile stolen or hijacked. This report is about the online websites: Harris beef (harriscattleranch.com) and American Alps Ranch (americanalps-ranch.com)
Both sites have the exact same products and the exact same prices, and if you read the reviews they are exactly the same names between the two sites. I tried to order through Harris Beef; yes I know the prices are extremely low, big red flag - but used a protected payment source, so no worries.
So I order about $60 worth of meat (just one of these steaks locally would cost that much) - and I used paypal, and my American Express through paypal (just in case). I get an order complete email from " kaylagrace1676@gmail.com" . Today I get a notice that my order has not been paid for (despite the Paypal reciept that I got lastnight) - this email is from "RubyLortie652@hotmail.com"
I immediately go to paypal who refunded me the order.
The way this scam works is that they keep you arguing over if, when, you paid until they get their paypal money and run. One alternative of this scam is they send you your "package of meat" which is a tracked envolope with a receipt in it, they show to paypal and run with your money.
