Harrison Career Institute 631 W Newport Pke Graystone Plz, Wilmington, Delaware 19804 H.C I. outstanding student loan.. & jobless with no ceritification nor Accredited to transfer to college credits Wilmington, Delaware
I am very upset with Harrison Career Institute at 631 W Newport Pke Graystone Plz, Wilmington, Delaware 19804 (302) 999-7827
I attended this school for fourteen months'.. I did my clinical and finished with an A average! Medical Assistant Graduated, Diploma . I was so happy thought I accomplished something great . A nice future & new career, Since leaving the school without an official ceremony, & certification I have been trying to track someone with connections to the school?. Furthermore It has come to my knowledge that the school has shut down:. I need to take my certification test in order to pursue my career in the Medical field & support my family & better my life also to my understanding the school is not accredit able to have you certified & Not to mention that I am still paying off federal student loans that I had to get just to attend this technical career Institute school Basically I am paying for something that I can not use'. Nor get a job in this medical field .I even took my transcript to Delaware Technical community college for continuing education and to see if I could transfer credits & also get my certification Counselor there said that Harrison career Institute isnt Accredited Going through what I went through at HCI has taught me not to ever ever go to another technical career Institute school in my life.
Now where do I go from here how do I get the education I wanted & the certification & a good career in which I thought I was getting & my moneys worth? Can some one help or have suggestions of what to do how to get certified with out attending another college and another student loan?

I predict that the next financial crisis will be massive defaults on government guaranteed student loans to "for profit" institutions. Loans that were taken out by people whose sole effort at evaluating their prospective institution was watching a commercial on TV.

Unfortunately it seems you have fallen victim to the many "for profit" schools out there. However, it is your responsibility to do your homework before choosing and educational institution. A school without some sort of certification would be an automatic red flag. You are absolutely correct you are paying for something you cannot use. In googling your above mentioned school I found quite a bit of information indicating that it was a scam all along. My best advice is to find out about the federal investigation on the school and see if there is some type of legal recourse you can take. Otherwise you will have to pay off the loans before the fed will loan you more money for school. Thats why alot of people say do your homework before making a big financial decision.
