Do not stay here!! We stayed at this property June 30 2013. It was awful. The pictures from Home Away Website show a beautiful clean updated home. it was none of these things. Harry has played this game before, and has you sign a disclaimer ... he says you agreed to upon agreeing to rent his property. Read the fine print!! I have tried to submit a review at Home Away both times it has spit it out and won't let me post my thoughts. This place is nasty, and there is water damage in the kitchen with black mold. I have picture i will upload. I will also put this on YouTube...
Harry will most likely say this is extortion...it is not. He has my $2000.00 there is nothing i can do to get it back, but i am doing this to warn people like me online...The next door neighbor is an apparent hoarder, and his back yard which you can see from the pool looks like a junk yard. I have pictures of this too...we never met Harry he sent the hoarding neighbor to give us the key.... we wait for Harry in our hot car for about 15 minutes. Before we decided to get out and go to the front door thinking maybe he was inside.... he was not, but the neighbor met us with no shirt, no shoes, and it appeared...no underwear...
Neighbor seems to also have a car parked in his yard that is full of trash junk too.... Furniture is nasty...didn't even want to sit on it. the lawn chairs by the pool were cover in mildew. We didn't even try the pool...we tried to stay away from house as much as possible by doing other things. The neighborhood is not walking distance to anything...and i would feel that if i took a wrong turn, i might be in big trouble. There is one bad review on Home Away site....and Harry's rebuttal was again to blame the renter, I am sure he will do it again....we have nothing to gain by giving him a bad review and this is really our only avenue...Harry has a lot to lose from it....

HARRY JOHNSON IS A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR...HIS RESPONSE ON HOMEAWAY ABOUT MY REVIEW, ARE ALL MADE UP LIES...MY HUSBAND NEVER BOOKED THIS PROPERTY..I DID! IT WAS NOT BOOKED 2 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!! MY HUSBAND WAS NOT SURPRISING ME.... I WAS THE ONE THAT MADE THE MISTAKE AND BELIEVED IN HOMEAWAY REVIEWS. THAT HARRY OBVIOUSLY WROTE YOURSELF...WELL IT IS ALL CATCHING UP YOU NOW.THE LAST 3 REVIEWS ARE ALL 1 STAR...AND YOU STILL CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY...AND YES, I WAS ANGRY BECAUSE IT WAS NASTY, STINKY, MISREPRESENTED HOUSE...AND AS EVIDENCED IN MY YOUTUBE VIDEO AND PICTURES.

The house is not walking distance to the beach, or any restaurants. Check out the map. Lawn chairs are moldy, and mildewed, grill is nasty and falling apart. Kitchen has black water damage on the floors in 2 places with holes. No ice maker it is in the cabinet... Downstairs bathroom had mildew on the window, and the shower head was caked with mold...we didn't even use that bathroom shower. The neighbor next door has his car parked out front and it was full of junk that is what you see when you pull up.

I heard a heated discussion while I was on the phone speaking with him and he said he would call me back. 15 minutes later he again asked if he could receive a refund. I told him that I could not because I had reserved this home for him over 2 months before, and turned away other guests that loved the idea of staying in a private home. And again reminding him that it was not my fault if his wife was angry at him for choosing a private home instead of a hotel.
This review is simply the wife's (who actually wrote the review) attempt at getting back at me for not refunding them when the terms and conditions they agreed to clearly stated there were no refunds within 45 days prior to arrival. Nothing she wrote was of any significance or truth.

I AM ADDING MORE PICTURES OF HARRY'S RENTAL ...DO NOT RENT FROM THIS MAN...IN HIS CONTRACT OF RULES... IT APPEARS HE IS NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO RENT THIS PROPERTY!! HERE IS A PART OF WHAT IT SAYS....He is shady at best...but he has your money at this point and you have to sign...Harry has played this game before...and covers his bases...This is our only avenue to get the word out about his man and his rentals....in Miami South Beach....
