Harry Weinstein Group HWG Diamonds Diamond scam, fake brokerage house, colored diamond scam Montreal Quebec
I was contacted by Mark Risman in early 2016. he purported to be a broker working for Harry Weinstein Group.
AKA HWG Diamonds. Mark Risman and Dale Harrison were amassing a portfolio of colored diamonds to be sold to a Chinese pension fund. After agreeing on a price for my diamonds they then informed me that I needed to put up a bond of 6% and pay inland revenue taxes of 9.75% to Hong Kong.
I remitted these funds but then the tax rate went up and they needed more funds wired. Next thing is the portfolio gets re assessed at a higher value so mure funds must be wired to cover the increased pay out.
These two rely on victims being desperate for an exit strategy from the debacle that is the colored diamond industry.
Sadly I was into them for $140,000.00 before I came to my senses. I have had no communications with them since. I wish I had dug deeper in my due diligence as I discovered Mark Risman and Dale Harrison have run this same scam before under the name JWA Diamonds.
