I have all of my cancelled payments to Hartford Ins. Co. for a few vehicles, i have paid the payments to them, they endorsed them, yet they claim that it was applied to a difference policy number. I disagree and have proof. They had me uninsured for 3 1/2 months, and will not accept the car back on to their policy becuase of the lapse of being without insurance. I have talked to every person there, including thir consumer protection department. They will not insure the vehcile in question. They took my money for the policy but never notified that the car was uninsured until I received a letter from the Dept of Motor vehicle, stating I have to pay $200.00 and the car will take the registration away. The insurance company, delayed in phone call matters regarding this serious Problem.and will not help me reinsate the vehicle. No insurance company will take the 1996 vehicle because of the lapse in surance (or so they say). I was in a great RISK of driving an unisured vehicle, i was in jeopardy of my home, if something happened during that time. Luckily nothing did.The fact of the matter is Hartford is so totally wrong and will not admit it.
