I purchased a 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback at the dealership. I test drove the car and everything seemed fine. About 3 weeks later the car started falling apart. First thing was I went to put gas in the car and all the sudden gas starts spilling out all over the ground. The gas connecting tube was rusted and seemed to be temporarily patched. Next, I'm driving down the road on the freeway and the car suddenly overheats. I pull over and call a friend of mine who is a Subaru mechanic. He told me to limp it home with the heater on. On inspection the mechanic informs me that the cars fans have been hotwired to conceal a problem with the coolant system. This problem would have been easily noticed through a inspection that the dealership supposedly had done. So, now I'm stuck with hundreds of dollars in repairs and God only knows what else there could be wrong. In my opinion these guys are crooks and should be watched out for.
