I purchased a couch, loveseat and ottoman a year and a half ago. In April I filed a claim because every seam has pulled apart. Additionally, where each of the buttons are on the cushions the fabric has ripped to the point where there are holes underneath the buttons as well as buttons that have come off.

Two months after filing the claim a technician responded, stating that the furniture was too damaged for him to fix. That the reason this happened was because the fabric was of poor quality and didn't have any type of backing. He specifically stated to me that he was going to recommend replacement in his report because of the amount of damage to the furniture.

One month later Guardsman denied the claim stating that the rips and seam separation were a result of normal wear and tear and that the policy did not cover normal wear and tear. Normal wear and tear after one and a half years? No way. The last furniture I had lasted ten years and didn't have anywhere near the damage this furniture had.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed from here?
