ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 1999 I BOUGHT A LANE "BIG" MAN'S RECLINER TO THE TUNE OF $600(+/-) FOR MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY. AFTER ABOUTH (6) MONTHS USE, I NOTICED AT THE HEAD REST AREA, STRESS POINT, THAT THE THREADS WERE COMING OUT. AT THIS TIME I REPORTED THIS MATTER TO THE HAVERTY'S REP I HAD BOUGHT IT FROM,
AND,THEY SAID THEY WOULD CHECK ON TO SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE. AFTER 2 OR 3 WEEKS WITH NO RESPONSE, I AGAIN CALLED THEM, AND TO MY FRUSTRATION, HAD TO REPEAT ALL OF THIS TO ANOTHER PERSON AS THEY COULDN'T SEEM TO FIND THE PERSON WHO I HAD TALKED WITH....I BELIEVE THEY HAD 'QUIT' AND MOVED ON TO 'GREENER PASTURERS -- DOWN THE ROAD TO RHODES'. . WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY, WHOEVER I TALKED WITH THIS TIME, ALL THEY COULD TELL ME WAS THEY'D CHECK FURTHER AND SEE WHAT COULD BE DONE. HOWEVER, THERE SEEMED TO BE NOTHING THEY COULD DO, MAYBE I COULD GET IT RECOVERED MYSELF!!!!
HA, HA, I HAD A (6) MONTH RECLINER THAT I'D HAVE TO PAY AROUND $400(+/-) TO GET REPAIRED. I REALLY THOUGHT LANE FURNITURE WOULD STAND BEHIND THIS COMPLAINT, BUT, APPARENTLY THEY DIDN'T CARE!!!!!!!

I work for Haverty's Furniture Company and I have for 3 years now. I know how it can be fustrating when something tears up but you have to be persistent if you want anything accomplished. If you are concerned about Lane standing behind their products you could contact the company also. Havertys does offer a 1 year warranty on its products and would have replaced it.
