Complaint Review: HAWKEYE MOVERS

I setup a 300 mile move in May 2012. The exact pack and load date was to be June 28. Delivery date was 7-2 to 7-9. I had to do many favors to use a vacation day from work June 28. I wanted a more exact delivery date so they said they could guarantee an unload date of 7-2 or 7-3 for an extra $750. I agreed. On June 23 I was called saying they needed to change the pick up date to 6-30. I was unhappy but agreed. On June 28 they called late in the day to say "our guy will not be there until July 1." I told them that was unacceptable. I had bought $13,000 worth of furniture to be delivered to my new place July 1-2 and needed to be there. The guy said, "well then you need to find a different mover!" and he hung up on me. Of course it is too late to find a new mover to be in town for the start day of my new job. NEVER use these guys! Very unprofessional and untrustworthy!
