Complaint Review: Haynes Brothers Furniture Company

My husband and I bought an entertainment center from Haynes Brothers Furniture about a year ago. When the unit was first delivered, the doors didn't shut properly and the glass was scratched. When the service person arrived, he basically said... they don't make furniture like they used to.

After about 3 months, they finally replaced the doors (with glass). I called them today to tell them that the doors were warping, so much so that they don't shut properly. The woman asked if the unit was wet or something to that effect. I told her that we live in a climate controlled home and no, the unit was not wet. She said she would write up a service ticket. She called me back to let me know that since it had been a year since we purchase the entertainment center, there would be a $35 service call fee and that there would be a charge for any repairs or replacements AND if we had called within 6 months or so, they might have taken care of it. I said, so let me understand this, We paid $1200 for an entertainment center and you're telling me that it's only supposed to last 6 months or so and anything after that is our responsibility? She said she was just the messenger. Buyers beware unless you you have a few hundred dollars to throw away!!!
