ON 10/03/08 MY WIFE WENT IN TO HAYNES FURNITURE TO PURCHASE A SLEEP SOFA. SHE FOUND THE SOFA SHE WANTED AND A CHAIR AND A HALF AND OTTAMAN TO MATCH. SHE PAID AND SET UP A PICK UP FOR THE NEXT DAY. JOSEPH GRUSZECKI WAS HER SALES PERSON.

I WENT TO PICK UP THE NEXT DAY, THE GENTELMEN THAT HELPED ME LOAD TOOK OFF THE BOXES SURROUNDING THE FURNITURE, UNDER THE BOXES, THE FURNITURE WAS WRAPPED IN SMOKEY PLASTIC. SO YOU COULD NOT SEE THE FURNITURE. I ASKED THE 2 GENTLEMEN IF WE SHOULD TAKE THE PLASTIC OFF AND THEY SAID NO, SINCE I WAS TRAVELING FOR 1 AND 1/2 HOURS. I USE TO WORK FOR A FURNITURE MOVER, SO I AM VERY EXPERENCED PACKING.

NONE OF THE DAMAGED AREAS WERE EXPOSED TO THE TROBLE SPOTS ON THE CHAIR AND 1/2. WHEN WE UNLOADED THE FURNITURE THE CHAIR HAD 3 DIFFERENT DAMAGED AREAS, ONE LOOKED LIKE A KNIFE CUT, WHICH I DID NOT USE A KNIFE, BUT WHEN HAYNES TOOK OFF THE BOXES THEY USED A KNIFE. THE LEATHER ON THE ARE LOOKS LIKE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PUT TOGETHER NO HOLES ARE IN THE PIECE PULLED AWAY FROM THE ARM, AND ON THE REAR TOP OF CHAIR, IT LOOKS LIKE IT RUBBED ON SOMETHING FOR A LONG TIME, AND I DID NOT HAVE THE CHAIR UP AGAINST ANYTHING IN MY TRANSPORT TO THE CABIN.

WE BROUGHT IT BACK HOME, A REPAIR MAN CAME OUT TO LOOK AT IT FROM HAYNES, AND TOLD HER HE COULD NOT REPAIR ANY OF IT, AND MY WIFE TOLD HIM, IF HE HAD REPAIRED ANYTHING SHE WOULD NOT EXCEPT IT, BECAUSE SHE DID NOT BUY THAT DAMAGED CHAIR. SO WHEN HE SENT IN THE PICTURES AND REPORT TO HAYNES, HAYNES CALLED AND SAID THAT THE DAMAGES WERE DONE IN TRANSIT ON OUR PART AND THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE. AND THATS JUST HOW THEY LEFT IT.

MY WIFE WAS GOING BACK TO HAYNES THE NEXT WEEK AND PURCHASE ANOTHER SOFA, BUT WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ITEM FROM THEM AND NO ONE ELSE SHOULD. WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT BLAMES THE CUSTOMER. WE SPENT $1316.70 THE CHAIR WAS $381.00 AND WE CANNOT USE IT.
