I paid for a Yorkshire Terrier puppy. The breeder (or an employee of the breeder) supposedly took the puppy in question to a transport company that ships/flies dogs (along with other cargo, I assume). The transport company emailed me that the puppy needed a special, climate controlled crate, in order to fly, and that this crate would cost me $950 to use (rent? lease? etc.); this $950 would be refunded to me when I picked the puppy up at the airport.

Since I did not have that kind of cash just lying around, I could not pay the fee that was demanded of me by this transport company. Thus, I've paid for a puppy that I did not receive. I've been told that the puppy would be placed in quarantine, but no one at the transport company could/would tell me where quarantine was, or a phone number for me to reach quarantine.

I also asked the contact person from the breeder where the puppy was; the reply was that I would find out when quarantine contacted me. There my puppy resides, wherever it is, and I'm out the money paid for the puppy and left with a broken heart. I've also been threatened with a $12,000 fine for animal abandonment by the transport company.

The breeder also told me that would be my fine for animal abandonment. This happened on 1/4/19-1/5/19; I have yet to hear from "quarantine". Update 1/9/19 Found out the phone number for "quarantine" is the same number as the one for the transport company.
