HD Canada - HotDealsCanada ripoff, career scam, identity theft, deposit theft, work-at-home scam Mississauga Ontario Canada
Beginning in June 2003, after posting my resume and applying online at homecareersearch.com, I received a job offer for a work-at-home position with a Canadian based company called HotDealsCanada. This was for a help desk agent position which they would provide all needed equipment along with a paid 2week training in Canada.
They proceeded to send me a questionaire to fill out along with a phone interview that I received from Ms. Tremblay. I received numerous emails and phone calls over a period of 2 mos. They had me send them a $75 refundable dp for the work visa application to be processed along with a copy of my passport and diploma, ss card, marriage certificate (to show name change) and CDL. I saved a printed all of these correspondences with this company.
I was to go to Canada for the training in Sept. 2003, however, they kept emailing me regarding a delay due to the power outages, etc. After Sept/Oct came and went, my emails were not being responded to either. I became worried. I sent certified letters, etc.. and they were returned "moved/no forwarding address". I did reverse search on the phone numbers and fax numbers and found the owners of the building (it actually wasn't an office, it was a po box at a mail boxes etc.) The owner of mail boxes etc.. said that just a week prior (Sept. 14, 03) the renter of that mailbox (aka HotDeals Canada) advised them to discontinue the po box and return all mail to senders. The box was registered to HD Canada - Najchrjak/Majchrcak Geraldine.
I have sent faxes to the same fax that a Mr. David Schroeder received my prior info. That phone number was also researched to an owner by the name of M. Blahut @ 3203 Candela Drive, Mississauga ON. I contacted her and she claims that isn't her number nor does she know of HD Canada. Yet, that is where the faxes were received at.
Then when I thought I was already SOL! I received an email from Ms. Francine Tremblay, Operations Manager for HD Canada and she wrote a lengthy email apologizing for the delays if i'm still interested; if not they will return the $75. A virus that attacked their call center, etc., and that again apologizes and to please contact her via email so that the training will begin again in 1/5/04 if i'm still interested.
I responded just to see and to date, no response has been received from HD Canada nor has my money been refunded. I did, however, put a fraud alert on my credit record just in case.
I have kept copies of absolutely everything, even emails. I would like to see if there is a possibility for a class action law suit along with criminal prosecution.
