A church member called in an order to HDProjectorWorld.com.  Ordered a Pro Series 11 4600 lumen projector after affirming that the projector would work in the application intended at my church.  The advertised price was $899 and included free shipping, a ceiling mount and a carrying case.  The salesman (David I think) said that we would get a $30 discount for calling in the order and so the charge was $869.  He was asked when we could expect delivery and he stated it would be in about five business days.  The church member who called in the order put the purchase on his Master Card.  He got a call a few minutes later and was told that the charge would not go through and he needed to call his credit card company.  He called Master Card and authorized the charge.  Called the salesman back and he said the charge went through.  He got a Purchase receipt that same day stating that the projector would be shipped out within 48 hours.  The receipt also said that the charge wouId appear on his card as Oxygenergy Electronics, Inc the legal company name.  Due to the delivery estimate by the salesman we expected delivery during the week of May 25th.  Note that the order receipt is the only correspondence that was received to date from HDProjectorWorld.com.  There was never received any notice of shipment, tracking number or any other affirmation of the order of any kind.

called to expedite - John advised the expected delivery date was May 29th.  May 29th came and went without delivery. 

June 3, 2015

called to check on delivery status and talked to John.  was told that he did not have a notice of delivery from the United States Postal Service and surmised that the order must have somehow gotten lost.  He apologized for the delay and said that he would reship another unit by UPS Ground and we should expect to get a UPS tracking number in an email shortly.  John was told that when the original order was placed that the web site said that there was only one in stock.  He assured that they had more and would ship one. 

June 8, 2015

Not having received an email with tracking number as promised John was called again.  He said that the shipping department would call back in 3 or 4 hours with the tracking number. 

After several hours James called from HDProjectorWorld.com called stating that he is the manager.  He said that they are out of stock which has caused the delay in reshipment.  He said they were expecting a shipment of projectors from their manufacturer on Wednesday June 10th.  James said he was going to rebate $80 for the delay and inconvenience and would personally see that a projector got shipped out via UPS to arrive on Friday June 12th

June 17, 2015

Not having yet received any correspondence or a projector John was called again.  He said that the shipping department would call later that day with the order status. 

Several hours later James the manager called and said that they had not gotten the shipment they were expecting and therefore have not had a projector to ship.  He said that he was going to refund the money back to the credit card account and when the projector comes in he would ship it to me.  He said to wait until the projector arrives and it is okay and call them and they would resubmit the charge to the credit card account. 

June 23, 2015

Having received neither a credit on the credit card account nor a projector, the company was called again to check on the order status.  James said that the charge to the credit card has been reversed and the projector has been shipped.  He said that it takes 5 to 6 business days for the reversal of the charge to show up on the credit card account.  He said the projector should arrive early next week (week of June 29th).  He said to please call when it arrives and they will re-charge the total to the credit card. 

July 1, 2015

No reversal of charge on my credit card and no projector received.  Called and talked to David.  He said that it was a holiday in Canada and only he was working – taking orders.  Suggested we call back later in the week to check on order status. 

July 3, 2015

Called and talked to John who said that my refund was made to another person with a similar name.  John said that he will see that the error is corrected and the charge will be reversed and he will send a notice of the action via email.  He was asked why we haven’t received a projector as promised by James and he did not respond. 

July 13, 2015

No refund on the credit card yet so called again and spoke with John.  He said that because the last call to him (on July 3rd) was on a holiday the refund did not get posted until Monday July 6th.  He further stated that Wednesday July 15th will be the 7th business day after the posting and the refund should show up by then. 

July 23, 2015

No refund has yet appeared.  called and talked to John.  He told me that he could not access the full record of my order status and he suggested call back in a couple of hours and talk to their shipping department.  an email address was requested for John. He said to send it to QuestionsHDProjectorWorld.com. 

July 24, 2015

Another representative of the church called about 3:45 PM and talked to David who said he is a customer service rep.  She related the whole story again and was assured that they would ship another one.  She said we would rather have our money back.  He left the phone briefly and came back saying he would refund the money. SAhe requested to be emailed a transaction notification of the reversal of the charges on the credit card.  He explained that the “billing department” was not available until 2:00 p.m. their time.  It was currently 1:00 p.m. their time.  She asked for a name in the billing dept. to call.  He could not give her one.  He stated the billing dept. was not in the same building.  She then asked several questions about where these departments were and after completely unsatisfactory answers, he hung up. 

She called back and got a machine twice and left her name and number and complaint that she had been dismissed on the phone.  Then she called back from a different phone number and someone answered, probably David, and then someone named Mark talked to her.  Saying all the same things, but assuring her again that we would receive a refund and James, the manager would call back.

John instead of James called back.  He said they could not reverse the charges on the credit card because it was over a month since the initial transaction.  They are to send a check instead.  He said he would email the info when the check is shipped.  It will be 5 to 7 working days.  

Note:  After this conversation, the credit card company was contacted and their agent assured me that that they have no time limit on card account reversals.  John seems to have come up with another means of putting us off another week.  There seems to be no intention by HDProjectorWorld.com of either shipping us a projector or refunding our money. 

July 29, 2015

Received an email from James the manager at HDProjectorWorld.com. His note assured me that a check was mailed on July 24th and that it would take two weeks for it to arrive. James also apologized for the behavior of David and assured us David would be reprimanded. So according to James the check is in the mail.

August 14, 2015

It now has been three weeks since the alleged date of the mailing and we still have no refund check and no projector.
