Complaint Review: Headwind Media Inc CMI Exclusive MO Fee

I also have been a victim of Headwind Media / CMIProfiles.com.

Discovered a $20.00 chg on my Verizon phone bill. When I called the 800 number on bill was told I  had registered,  given my SS# and mother's maiden name. Info had been validated by "a 3rd party" for correct verification. Asked what exact info was on file etc - told to write to a PO # in Jupiter FL or email them at support@cmiprofiles.com.  Told the corporate headquaters has no street addresss or phone numbers! Requested my account be immediatly closed and a credit posted which they said they  did.  (?)

Verizon - when I contacted them to say what happened and I was deducitng $20.00 from bill, was told they are regulated by the FCC and have to carry these chgs from outside services. I informed them they were charging for a social networking website and was told again they have no control over what the content is. She did offer to put a block on my number so that I will not be billed by any outside vendors in future.She  could not answer why Verizon is  doing the paperwork and billing for a company that should be using credit cards for billing....
