Complaint Review: Health Insurance Innovations

This company is a ripoff.  Go to the BBB.org wesite and search for Health Insurance Innovations and you will find all the information you need.  Many, many, open and unresolved cases.  They are also doing business under the name Simple Health.

This company called me a couple of days ago to sell me health insurance, which I needed since I had just cancelled what insurance I had through the Government Exchange (ObamaCare).  The minute I hung up the phone with them, it didn't feel right.  I immediately called back to cancel and the REFUSED to cancel it.  They kept putting me on hold, passing me to someone else (you can tell it's a small office and they just kept passng the phone around to one another).  One lady flat out told me she would not allow me to cancel and that my credit card would be (and was) charged in two amounts...one in the amount of $692 and one in the amount of $80.  Another guy I talked to told me that I needed insurance and he would not allow me to cancel.  

So, I realized what was happening, called my credit card (too late) and did a web search on this company only to be horrifed by what I had found.  I'm so mad at myself for letting this happen and not being more diligent.

But, the really sad thing about it is, they may have gotten me for some money, but if you read other stories, this company has caused serious financial hardships on many, many people.  People who have kept this "insurance", not realizing it wasn't real, now have thousands and thousands of dollars of medical bills to pay.

I had to cancel my credit card, open up a dispute charge.  I have also contacted the BBB and well as the Federal Insurance Board (or whatever it's called).  

DANGEROUS COMPANY.  I don't understand why the government hasn't done anything about them.  So, that is why I'm going from website to website, leaving reviews and calling whoever I can to help fight this.
