Coverage my daughter received in 2015 via healthcare.gov was based on my income because she still lives with me and did not work but was attending college.  The marketplace representative completed the application for me and was approved for a silver plan in which I paid for a full year. When I completed my 2015 taxes I was hit with a $1500 penalty because according to the IRS I did not have enough money taking out to cover my healthcare plan for my daughter. WOW!! After talking with 3 individuals at the Marketplace even a supervisor I was told it was nothing they could do, they had my income listed/reported for an amoount I did not report to them.  I have all the information including my income, which hasn't change, I just wanted to know how could I have been $12,650 short in my income.  Now come 2016, they sent me a 1095A which indicates coverage for one month. Contacted the marketplace on February 10, 2017. My escalation was approved that I did pay for coverage a full year for my daughter. I was told by the marketplace that my corrected 1095A was mailed out on March 21st. It is now April 17th and I still have not receive my corrected 1095A and need it in order to complete my taxes. Because I did not receive my corrected 1095A I file an extension on Sunday, April 16th and was approve.

I contact the Marketplace on today, April 17th and spoke with a Tier 2 Supervisor and she told me that she will have to resubmit my escalation again since I never received the first corrected 1095A and that it could take up to another 30 days. What the ?? using the marketplace to gain coverage has cost me more time and money. It's not worth it. Did I get coverage for my daughter via the marketplace/healthcare.gov for 2017? No. The monthly premium based upon my income on a silver plan triple Can't afford it plus having to deal with a $1500 penalty/fine with IRS. When is it that this companies making all these mistakes are made to pay, why is it that we as consumers are always left to pay for their untrained employees? I am not pleased
