Complaint Review: Health Markets Insurance

A Soledad Ramirez, of Health Markets Insurance contacted me from an Internet questionnaire I submitted, while looking for supplemental insurance for Medicare. She insisted that she meet with me in person, as "it is very complicated, and I have to explain it to you in person." She further threatened me by saying that if I didn't sign up I would be penalized.  By the government. This is wholly untrue, also known as a BIG FAT LIE.  She went on to say that because I did not have Medicare Part D (drug insurance) that I would certainly have to pay a fine.  I told her I didn't take drugs... at ALL.  That I didn't care.  I was looking for a supplemental type insurance that would cover or give me a discount on acupuncture treatments.  She said she would have to see me in person.  She has further harassed me through constant emails, all of which repeat the threat of "penalty." I have done the research and I am NOT in danger of being penalized on anything.  - Susan, San Diego, CA
