Health Option One BEWARE! TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ...CREDIT CARD SCAM , Internet

I googled "Catastrophic Health Insurance" and got the website http://www.medhealthinsurance.com.  I called the 800 number for a quote and got an "Anthony"  who proceeded to tell me that I could get health insurance for my family for one low premium that would never go up, have a zero deductible, and pay for everything under the sun.

After being duped into giving him my name and the names of family members, I finally smelled the rat when he told me that I had to give him my credit card number before he could e mail me a quote to review.  He told me that this was  "nationwide coverage", and that there were "only a few openings" and that he could only "hold my special low premium" if I gave him my credit card number or checking account number.  He also told me that the application process was "over the phone" and that preexisting conditions didn't matter.

I asked him for a website that I could look at and he told me that I could "look at a website with him" if I wanted to.  When I told him that I wanted to look at a website by myself and asked him to give me the web address, he told me that he would e mail the web address to me, which he never did.

Do not trust these people.  I wish I knew how to get someone to investigate them and shut them down.  They are creepy and dangerous.

Website "launching pad for other sites"???

The company's website has no outside links. Again it seems that the poster is confusing Health Option one with another company. Please report anyone asking for payment prior to sending information directly to the company, as it is a violation of company policy to do so.

I had almost the exact same pitch, from specifically health option one. I was also told I had to give my cc number to be emailed any information. Told the "special low premium" was good only right away, and I must take advantage of it now, that pre existing conditions didn't matter, that I could look at a website with them, all of it. They may be operating under a number of different names, but this was exactly my same phone call from health option one. Going to the website was almost worse, its a launchpad for a host of different sites, not just insurance....it comes across very much like a scam.

Not Health Option One

It appears that  www.medhealthinsurance.com  company is a lead vendor. Although they may be utilized by one of our affiliates as a lead source, they are not agents nor an insurance company. They are also not an affiliate nor a business partner of Health Option One. Their apparent strong armed tactics may be intended to give a "qualified" lead to an agency, but such tactics give many other ethical companies a bad name by association.
