I worked for this company for 2 years. I never recieved a raise. I was offered to do a manager training program after my first 3 months. I was fired last week for a felony I was charged with 11 years ago. The felony was dismissed upon completion of the terms if my plea of abeyance. I gave them a copy of my abeyance completion paper. They still say I cant have my job back because I was convicted of a felony. It was dismissed. I don't understand how I was allowed to work for 2 years before they decided I didn't pass their background check. I passed it when I was hired 2 years ago. I am l a good employee. I work hard. I have never recieved a complaint. They didnt fire the other employees who were convicted of felonies. I feel discriminated against. Also my district manager said why I was being fired out loud in front of other employees. Isn't that slander? Should I contact a lawyer? This company doesnt allow any overtime. They expect you to work off the clock to complete the jobs they pile on you. If you don't get them done you get wrote up. If you work 5 minutes over, you get wrote up. They also don't train you. My manager was thrown into our facility without any support or training. I never received any training.
