We purchased with PayPal the PC Rescue 4 product and downloaded it. The moment it started it loaded the Covert Sys Exec virus. Our Spybot resident software began to report registry changes faster than I could follow them.

Other viruses and trojans immediately followed, including the KillAV virus and the Win32.Sober.P email worm. Within minutes the PC was a total mess... essentially inoperable with several rogue processes hogging the CPU, the registry was corrupted and could not be edited with regedit.

We hired a local firm to attempt a cleanup and repair of the Windows installation. The company owner is a veteran virus-fighter with eight years experience at Symantec, but the PC was so trashed that he was unable to repair it. He did remove the viruses and trojans (he thinks he got them all), but by that time the system was "swiss cheese" as he put it, and now we have to wipe the disk and reinstall from scratch.

We immediately contacted Healthy Computer Club via their website... haven't heard a thing in over a week. We have also filed a fraud report with PayPal (thank goodness we didn't use our credit card!) after logging in to change our password there (just in case). We filed the complaint with PayPal via their fraud-reporting web form AND put in a phone call, to boot.

****(((REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))shows Healthy Computer Club to be registered in Austin, TX. Anybody out there have any ideas about how to contact the appropriate authorities in Texas to report this?

Learn from our experience... Stay way far away from this outfit! And for your system tools, antivirus software, registry repair tools, etc. stick with reputable mainstream companies such as McAfee, Norton, and Zone Labs.

This rip-off report is complete nonsense! The software that we sell is 100% virus, adware, and spyware free. NONE of our software could have contributed to this user's virus problem. This can be verified by any software or computer technician. Please feel free to scan PC Rescue- it is completely safe and virus free software.

PC Rescue is 100% safe. This rip off report is 100% BS.

My name is Brad Markham. I am the owner of HealthyComputerClub.com. We have been in business for 3 years. We sell completely reliable, and dependable software, including the PC Rescue product. NONE of our software products EVER contain any spyware, adware, viruses. Our software helps to fix computer problems and protect against spyware and adware.

It is very disappointing to me to find my company listed here. We strive to help all customers with excellent customer service. Any customers with problems may email us at help@healthycomputerclub.com. We try to answer all emails within 48 hours.
