Hearst Magazines G.L.Valk Credit & Collections Manager Hearst Publications pulling a Bernie Madoff Red Oak Iowa
I've been a Good Housekeeping subscriber for over 20 yrs. I signed up on 1/13/2007 for a 2 yr. subscription.(paid in full) this would expire 1/13/2009.
Today I received a letter from credit and collections mgr. G.L.Valk stating I had a delinquent account and subscription suspended for Non-payment,"that's what our records reflect"
I was accused of not forwarding payment per agreement and not responding to numerous requests for payment. But,"if I take a moment now to settle my obligation with them they will promptly reinstate my subscription!"
My 2yr. subscription doesn't end till tomorrow 1/13/2009 and I've received no re-newal letters as I do with numerous other mags.(I keep a list of all my subscriptions from start to finish so I know when they're finished)
I take this as an insult and threat. I will no longer subscribe to any Hearst Publications and I will certainly let Oprah be aware of what's going on with
the Hearst Publication dept. And yes, Mr. Hearst would roll over in his grave
to see how they are mudding his good name!
