Heart for Change/ ESL Starter Tried to collect money and not deliver Bogotá Bogota D.C.
They are indeed working with the Ministry of Education but I don't know how close they can be monitored as their process seems more like a scam than anything. I got requested to come to Colombia right away on my interview with the organization I said no too soon please put me down for the next semester as planned. Ana, employee of Heart for a Change did later sent me a letter of acceptance and a request for funds needed for deposit of $500 to secure my spot.
I got the interview with Ana through ESL starter and follow the instructions given by Claire. Later an email from a Gina from heart for change arrived and I interviewed with her she told me I had done the application wrong which I follow directions from ESL stater and she basically canceled out my letter of acceptance by starting the process again. It all seemed like a big sham to collect the deposit and then disappeared. Thank God I didn't pay the deposit right away because if not that money would have been lost.
