PLEASE READ BEFORE USING!!!

After all... 40% of us all can't all be wrong!

Just filed a complaint with the BBB.

These guys will show up and double their bid and slide up the bid rate!

Julio and Gilbert arrived and before even stepping foot inside my house they estimated that the move would double from 6hrs to 12hrs. Our verbally agreed rate was $140/hr for a 3 man crew. But then they called us on Friday and asked us to shift our relocation date from Monday to Sunday at a rate of $130. We agreed.

When I asked them to just move me as contracted for the 6hr estimate he could only guarantee that the rate would be $10 higher than we agreed upon and he would not be able to do the work in the time estimated. When I expressed concern over the principal of doubling my rate within minutes of being here Gilbert said that "you can just go find another mover then." Tim asked us to move our schedule to accommodate them from a Monday to a Sunday and Tim knows that he has you "over the barrel" come moving morning.

My options were agree to a higher rate than negotiated for possibly 2x the amount of time or as Gilbert said, I could "find another mover." When things began to go south I couldn't get in touch with Tim the owner and by the time that I did the moving crew already left.

Tim's only response was "these guys have been with me for 12 years and I have never had a problem." No apology, no effort to make this right.

Do yourself a favor and keep looking as these guys are not only unethical, they are incompetent. And simply put, they can honestly care less if they get your business or not as right now is a busy season and they will do just fine in spite of their horrible service.

AND:

Deceitful and Malicious Management! Avoid! – Heart of Texas Moving is unprofessional and dishonest. I hired them in October 2010 to move my 3000 square foot home and they were not able to complete the job with the trucks they brought, broke many of my items, sent a sick man to lead the job, encouraged me to buy replacement value insurance which I did and then refuse to pay damages. I watched them break my items before getting them on the moving truck and called the office to complain then. The lead man banged on my daughters crib with a wrench in effort to unscrew the bolts. They dragged an antique armoire accross my hard wood floors and pulled the bottom decorative peice off of the front of it. I watched another man lift my daughter's 4 foot tall doll house from a weak spot and break it practically in two and act as if he didn't do anything wrong. A leg was broken off of another armoire and the list goes on and on. Getting the items into my new home they scraped my ceilings, door ways, hallways, stained my new carpets with their dirty shoes and one of them spit some kind of sticky blue candy out on my bedroom carpet. Which the candy had to be cut out because the professional carpet cleaners I had to hire couldn't get it out.

After the move I sent documentation of the damages including pictures and written descriptions and they responded by mail that they had 90 days to make a decision. Four months later I followed up with them and they asked me to resubmit the claim and so I did. Then I followed up again a month or so later and I was asked to resubmit the claim and I did. They finally sent someone out to my home after a complaint to the BBB, a few no shows and a cancellation. I recieved an email with a list of the items they would fix and one item that would not be covered and asking me how I would like to proceed either have the items repaired or get reimbursed financially. I responded with my disappointment that several items we discussed were not addressed in the email. Then I didn't hear anything back again for months. I resubmitted the complaint to BBB and was unsuccessful there because I had already submitted the claim. The owner or manager whomever sent me an email saying the claim is denied. I'm outraged! Do not trust your belongings to this company. I have proof that they approved my claim and then he turned around and changed his mind.
