In 2014 my wife and I were finally able to buy our first new camper. We went to Bents Rv in Metaire La to buy it. We bought a 2013 Heartland ElkRidge E-30. It went down hill from then. The stove caught fire, the floor came up, the rear cap needed to be replaced, the grey tank was installed wrong and flooded the bathroom, the electric awning, if you opened it all the way, the camper door would not open, the camper door would open during travel, screw through roof, floor coming up roe second time, j-skirt on the main slide has ripped for the second time, the outside speaker fell apart,  the main slide will not stay algined! This camper has been in the shop longer than we have had possession of it. This is a true lemon. I have contacted Heartland myself only to say sorry, get brushed off and get 3 months extended warranty. I was thourghly expecting Brian Bent, the owner of Bents rv to go to bat for us and have Heartland replace this camper. I know it can be done I have seen them do it on other sites, but alas,no, he just wanted to let the warranty to handle it. I think 9 times and over 8 months in the shop is enough! They have more money in it than what its worth. I have never asked for anything outragous, 1 year extended warranty or replave the unit with the same model. Nothing more, nothing less. Sda now I think my lawyer has to push this.

We have several times been in contact with this company. Right now the dealer is back and forth with them on one of the warranty matters of a window seal installed wrong in the master causing water intrusion!! Constant problems.

DO NOT THREATEN TO CALL A LAWYER! Unless you have allready called him.

Most Dealers and RV Manufacturers have a hands off policy with Lawyers, When you threaten Lawyer the business will 100% refuse to talk to you and your Lawyer will have to Deal with thier Lawyers. From the Dealer's and Heartland's perspective this is the best safest business decision.

WHAT TO DO!

Call Heartland directly @ 877-262-8032

Be very calm and polite, the first few people you speak to will be powerless pencil pushers that can not say yes, but if you anger them they can force you to the Lawyer.

If you work with them you will end up speaking to a person who can make real decisions about unit replacement and warranty coverage for your continuing problems.

Good Luck
