Complaint Review: Heat & Cool.com

Heat & Cool.com ordered a new 3 ton Goodman 16 seer central air conditioner system whem came the outside unt was used and didn't work. They won't give us bak our money and we went ahead and purchased a new unit so we would have air Doral Fl. 33172

We ordered a Goodman 3 ton 16 seer air conditioner system from  Heat & Cool out of Doral, Fl. from online. The insisde unit was fine and the out side unit was used not new.  When our licence tech of over 30 years in business went to instell the outside unit , he found that it had no freon, there were no plugs. Copper colored paintspray on thefittings and over spray on the unit.  The electrical connections showed that they were used. The tech drew a vacuum on the compressor and it produced a burn smell. The tech said with the burned smell he would not go any further because of failure. We talked to customer service and or tech talked to them and they said sence we didn't install it within 10 days thet couldn,t do anything for us. We live in the midwest and when ordered in late fall knew we wouldn,t install until spring. It was in a new box so had no reason to beleive it would be a used ynit.  It also didn't even have a owers manmanual it even had the plastic around the box. We went ahead and purchased a new unit from Alpine.
