Heather Difrancesco is a cocker spaniel show and pet quality dog breeder. I purchased a puppy from her and when I received the pedigree there was inbreeding (mom/son) I was told that the dog came from health tested lines (she claimed her lines were clear of OFA, cerf and PRA testing). The dam had NO OFA information at all in the database. I found out later that her dogs are raised primarily in cages. Possible puppy mill situation. Sadly she also participates in conformation showing but engages in pet breeding as well, buyer beware.

Wanted to be a little more clear on something, I am not sure what constitutes an "official" puppy mill. Aspca defines it as a "large scale breeding enterprise. " I wanted to clarify that she is not a large scale breeding enterprise by that definition, but she has a lot of dogs that spend a great deal of time in small quarters.
