Complaint Review: Heaven African Greys

DO NOT BUY, DO NOT SEND MONEY

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!

I saw his website and saw African Greys without prices.  There was an area where you fill out in order to get prices.  I put my name, phone number and email address.  Within minutes I received a text message where he gave me the prices and we agreed upon my buying 2 African Greys for $1,500.00, and he state in the text that it included shipping.  He said he did not take credit cards, that the money had to be sent via Zelle, that the payments had to be made by sending (3) $500.00 payments and on the Memo it must only say: MY PAIR. 

I sent him the money and he said that the following morning I would be receiving the tracking information.  The following morning he did send me tracking information from a company called United Pet Ship Services.  A few minutes later I get a text message from "the shiping company" stating that the birds need to be shipped in a special airconditioned crate and the rental was $1,000.00 but if I decided I wanted to buy it, the price was $2,000.00.  They said is was 100% refundable as soon as the birds were delivered and the crate was returned, they driver was going to immediately give me the $1,000.00.

That didn't sound right, I called and spoke to a man with a very heavy accent who said it was regulation and I had to pay it, also via Zelle, if I wanted to get my birds and hung up on me.  I immediately texted back Benard (from Heaven African Greys) and told him what had happened, he said he would call and check with shipping company.  After a few minutes he texted me saying,  ok, I'll pay $500.00 and you pay $500.00.  I said NO, I didn't have and was not willing to pay any more money.  We went back and forth FOREVER, I finally said, ok then send me one bird and use the rest of the money to pay for the crate.  He basically stated that I was being very difficult for only $500.00 and there was nothing further that he could do. 

If this was a legit breeder he would have sent me the one bird and not keep my $1,500.00 with nothing to show for it.  Even when I again said to send me one and to keep the other!
