HEAVYWEIGHTS.NET, EPHEDRINEFORSALE.COM ripoff deceptive cheats dishonest unresponsive lying St. John's Newfoundland
On August 20, 2002, I placed an order with Heavyweights, Inc. or Ephedrineforsale. It was for three bottles of ephedrine at a cost of $39.99. I paid for it with Paypal. I received an order confirmation from Robert King who thanked me for my order and telling me I should receive it in 7-10 days.
Dummy me, in thinking of the cost savings and believing the company was legitimate, I decided on August 24 to place an even bigger order thinking I could get a year's supply at about 1/3 of what I pay now. So this time I paid for it with my master card. Again Robert King confirmed the order. He did say, however, that it would be a few days before being shipped as they had received more orders than anticipated. However, the delay in sending was only about four days. And this time the cost was $107.49 (with shipping).
Since then, I have received nothing. Emails sent to Mr. King and the company receive NO ANSWER. Telephone calls are answered by an answering machine and requests for return calls are ignored.
The company's website addresses Customs confiscation. However, Maryland has no law against ephedrine purchases and--if it were confiscated--I would have received some kind of notification from the Customs Department. And I have not.
After this happened to me, I found OTHERS who have experienced the same thing by searching MESSAGE BOARDS. Mr. King and his company are ripoff artists. And--though I have received nothing for my money--they now are advertising the same products at reduced costs. Comments by others reflect their selling items they do not have.
I don't know the reason they are cheats, but it's obvious by their refusal to answer my dozen or so e-mails and many phone calls, they don't intend to be legitimate.
I tried to get PAYPAL involved in my payment to them. But because over 30 days had past, they would not investigate. I think this company counts on this with their "DELAY TACTICS".
I'm hopeful this experience saves others from similar fates. Mr. King is a con artist. I'm currently in the process of challenging the $107.49 charge to my credit card.

Ephedrine is still legal in small dose of 8mg but it won't surprise me if Robert King is selling higher doses.

I think you had better check the laws a little closer. I think there is a ban on ephedrine by the government. Ephedrine is a very dangerous product and kills people because you idiots abuse it.

I deal with heavyweights for two months on a weekly basis and must say that their service has never been anything but perfect. They are one of the few companies that I have dealt with that take a personal interest in their customers satisfaction, answering any question I have in full detail, offering excellent training tips, even going so far as to give unsolicited price breaks on the more expensive items, and throwing in free samples of others. I have no doubt that the person that filed the report is telling the truth, but I wholeheartedly disagree with their characterization of Mr. king and his company as ripoff artists, having had many, many, flawless dealings with them.
