Complaint Review: Help U Rent

We were relocating from PA to North Carolina and needed housing, the problem is we have pets. We contacted Help U Rent, and they charged us $195.00 to find us a house. The assured us that 3 dogs would not be a problem. The representative made it sound as if they would find us housing when in actuality, they emailed me a list of rentals that we had to call. Each one that we called would not accept pets despite the listings saying 'pet friendly'. Help U Rent also gave us a phone number to call daily for new listings, but when we called, there were never any new listings. Also on our contract, they only listed us as having two dogs when we had told them repeatedly that we had three.

We were told that after 30 days if we did not find housing that we would recieve a refund, since we ended up buying a house, we asked for a refund several times, and yet have recieved nothing, just a big runaround with promises to call us back.

I just wanted to warn others that Help U Rent does not do what they promised, maybe I can save someone else the aggravation and loss of hard earned money.
