*UPDATE.. FOX 11 Investigates: Telemarketing Tricks FOX 11 NEWS STORY: Telemarketers taking advantage of tough economic times = Some telemarketers are allegedly taking advantage of the tough economic times by scamming consumers. They'll offer to fix your bad credit for a price or they'll try to sell you products "supposedly" made by the disabled. Very tempting, but be careful! Click here to see the video

I am a soldier in the US Army. I supported this program back in 2005 while I was stationed in Alaska by purchasing some trash bags for $129.98. I guess this one time loyalty wasn't enough. I left Alaska in at the beginning of 2006 and moved to Phoenix, AZ. Upon moving to Arizona I got mail from a collection agency that Helping Hands of Hope uses called BOA Collections, stating that I had a deliquent account for $129.98.

I called them got a representative one time. explained to her that I moved from Alaska and never received any trash bags and I needed her to resolve this matter. To no avail I have now for the past year been receiving notices of deliquency. When I call their number (877) 664-0007 an answering service picks up, then says that the mailbox is full please call back later or press *8 for another extension. This cipher of waiting on the line hoping to speak to someone is a futile effort. This is meant to never be resolved, they want you to cave in and send them some money.
