Hendrick Acura Motors Bait and Switch with add on fees Charlotte North Carolina
Brought MDX in for service. Was quoted a repair fee of $288, had even called earlier to confirm the amount of the repairs and was told it was $288 before I picked up the car. Go to pay for said service and was charged $313.92. Found that there was a $25.92 "service charge" was tacked onto the service for fluid disposal and shop supplies. Service performed required no fluids to dispose of so I was being charged 25.92 for gloves and napkins?!? Was told the fee was based on the final price of the service. So 9% for my bill. Was transfered to the service managers voicemail and have not received any response.
Also was told the engine mounts were bad and needed to be replaced. This seems to be a common issue/profit center for Acura's and Honda's.

So
Our dealership includes the shop supplies in our quotes, sounds like this dealer either intentionally missled you or oopsied.
By the way industry standard is 10%
So it sounds like you and them both did a little rounding.
Good Luck
