I had signed a contract with HCH (Henry Company Homes) to build a home in Freeport Florida. The homes in the area started to see a dramatic increase in prices and I feel that Henry Company Homes broke 20 contracts, including mine, because they felt that they undersold the houses.

If you read this then you guessed it I am not the only one that didn't get my house build and now I can not find a home to buy for the price that I was going to pay.

To give you an example of what they did:
I was going to buy my home for 150K and homes in the area started to increase in value. The same home that I signed a contract for went to 220K within a few months.

HCH saw this increase and stopped building around 20 homes because they said that they didn't have enough crews to build the homes. While they still were building other homes in other towns nearby.

HCH put a lot of families in a bind because some of the families that were expecting their homes to be built found themselves in the middle of not having a home and trying frantically to find another place to rent because they had told their current landlords that they were leaving to their new homes soon.

I, and other disgruntled buyers, feel that HCH is doing this out of greed to stand making more money on the homes.
