Henry Ernecoff, Attorney At Law Recieved, and kept unauthorized fee for representing me on my SSI disability. Has had my money for 6 months now. $2422.25, there was not attorney of record on my claim San Diego California
This attorney was paid in error the amount of $2,422.25. As of today, 6/30/09, I have not been re-embursed this " unauthorized fee. The Social Security Administration sent him a letter dated May 17, 2009, requesting that he refund this payment to the Social Security Administration, on my behalf, within 30 days. Well beyond that time frame, he has not responded, to my knowledge.
This is an attorney who "represents" an untold amount of people. He has a very large office in the downtown area of San Diego. I am unsure how many disabled clients he has victimized.
As of this date, Henry Ernecoff has had benefit of my much needed money for 6 months, knowing full well that he was not the attorney of record on my claim. There is no attorney of record in my case.
Being disabled, and living very carefully on the monthly income afforded by my 35 years of working hard, which in the end, caused my disability. I am in desperate need of this money.
Henry Ernecoff is a well established attorney, with a thriving business. It appears that he "supplements" his lucerative practice with unauthorized fees.
I am interested to find out how many other people he has victimized with his scandalous business practices.

I contacted Henry Ernecoff's office on June 30, 2009. I was informed by his Office Administrator there was no knowledge of this case. I confirmed with the Social Security Admistration on June 29, 2009, that their office had indeed, phoned an talked to Mr. Ernecoff on June 19, 2009, regarding this situation.
I intend to seek legal council on this matter by the end of the work day, today, July 1, 2009. At that time, I will persue the maximum amount of monies allowed by the law. I also intend to report this attorney to the California Bar Assoc., also by the end of the day today.
