Complaint Review: Henry Ford Urgent Care

THIS IS WHAT I WROTE TO HFHS.
The reason I am contacting you today is that I have some issues with
the bills I received in the mail.  First of all I called and talked to
Tammy from billing 586-421-3059 @ 7-18-09 @ 9am from Chesterfield urgent care facility.
After talking to her to find out what I needed to do to make sure I
wasn't going to be billed I then called my insurance and made sure
Henry Ford, Inc services were covered.  BCBS said they were @ 9:15am, after doing that I then called Tammy back @ 9:45a.m. and specifically asked her if I was going to be billed
anything.  She said no only the Co-Pay.  She said she will bill it as a office visit and not as Urgent Care
I specifically stated if I was going to get a bill I will just wait
until Monday for my wife to received services through her regular Dr. 
After her telling me that I will not have a Urgent Care bill
I scheduled an appointment for noon.  While I was there I also spoke to
Tammy in person and stated again that I did not want a bill for Urgent
Care. She said she will bill it as office visit and they will send it
in and if I had any questions or issues to give her a call.  On
08-26-09 I received a bill for$104.45 for charges that should of been
covered.  Every since then I have been calling Tammy and trying to get
a hold of her trying to get this issue resolved. I called and spoke to
staff and they said she wasn't going to be in until 11am or 12 am. I waited until then and  left a voice mail
on 08-27-09 explaining my issue and telling her to call me back asap. 
After not receiving  a call back I called again on 08-28-09 and talked
to staff and they said she had the day off and to call back on Monday
08-31-09.  After talking to Tammy  this morning she said she has
nothing to do with the insurance side of things even though she stated
I was only going to be billed as an office visit.  I am not sure why
she stated that I will be billed as office visit with a $30 co-pay and
my bill states that it is a urgent care visit that doesn't cover all of
the care.  I am very upset that I went a route trying to avoid changes
that I cannot afford to pay and I am being changed with a $104.45
bill.  I cannot believe you would have personnel on site for billing or
coding and have them answer any billing questions at all.  If I she has
no idea what is going on, then why would she tell me information on how
my bill was going to be. After being misled and very stressed out about
this I feel that I have no obligations for paying this bill. I hope
someone can call me asap after viewing this email.
