My daughter was out shopping for gifts and ended up at the "Her Styler" ( www.herstyler.com ) Kiosk at the Southland Center in Taylor MI ( shopsouthlandcenter.com ). The sales person sold her several items but wasn't being clear about the prices (you are getting a great deal... ) and what the total was going to be. When they rang her up, they kept making repeated charges on her card (saying that they "were having problems with the machine"). What my daughter didn't realize at the time (she has developmental delays), was that all of the charges were going through and she was being charged nearly $600.00 for a couple of straighteners and some other junk.

They did put a hand written receipt for the total amount in her bag as she left when she found that and realized that they had cleaned out her bank account, she was devastated.

We went back to the manager, but the response was simply that they have a "no returns" policy (no sign, but it was stamped on the receipt that she hadn't been shown). She had the stuff, they had the money, and they weren't interested in her problems...

We also tried to contact Southland Center, but the kiosk coordinator never seems to be in and doesn't return phone calls.

With the assistance of the management at Southland Center, I was able to return the merchandise for a full refund.
