HerbaMed ripoff company--con artist at best--they place your order but never send your product, it's definitely a "take the money and run" outfit at best La Crescenta California
I want to let everyone know about the company titled HerbaMed located in La Crescenta CA. I started receiving telemarketing phone calls in my home from HerbaMed several months ago trying to sell my their product. I was definitely interested at the time in weight loss products and pills, but I don't make the kind of money they suggested I spend on their products. The seller's name is David Bergman by the way and his sales pitch was convincing. He was not let go easily and said he would call back in a couple of months to see if things were better financially for me.
As promised, a couple of months later David Bergman called me back to give me the "I need to lose weight for my health" sales pitch and even said he could lower the price of the products for me so I can save money. He confirmed these "special prices" with his supervisor, Ryan Nelson, and they even added in a second product at a "very low special price" just for me. My catch was that I was not supposed to tell anyone that they lowered the price for me as I lost weight and as I advertised their company as my weight-loss source. Ryan Nelson also told me that if I referred people to their company for sales that I would make a small portion of the sales from the referrals.
I caved in and purchased their 10-month supply of Optimum Weight Loss along with their Metaboost for only $367.95. An almost $400 that I can not really afford I might add. This was on June 1, 2004 and my bank account shows the deduction several days later. Okay, I can't wait to see how well these diet pills work since they also gave me a 90 day money back guarantee if I wasn't satisfied---something else they don't offer everyone.
Mid July came and went and I still never received my promised product in the mail. I decided to make my phone calls to locate my already paid for pills. I don't get the usual friendly voice like I'm expecting--I get an answering machine. I left multiple messages but I have not received a call back. I also went to their web site and e-mailed a letter to customer service and I never heard back. This goes on for several weeks and I'm real irate. (Am I allowed to scream obscenities on this site???)
I keep calling the number and leaving messages--nasty ones as well--no response. I go to the web site again to e-mail another message--their web site is no longer on the server!!! How convenient for them?? I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as my next action. I waited one month and I found out that the BBB closed my complaint because this company never answered their complaint notice. They closed my complaint because the company doesn't respond??? So, what are they there for?? Why did I waste my time????????
I want justice and I want my money back, unfortunately this scam company can't even answer their phones or their mail. So how am I supposed to talk to someone to get some action on their part if no one's there?? If the Better Business Bureau doesn't help me who will?? I don't have the time and money to run around to lawyers like an idiot to only hear that they can't help me or I need to pay phenominal fees for their help. I hope this complaint will be read by so many people and that Ryan Nelson's and David Bergmen's names are so slandered no one buys anything from them ever again!!!! Maybe, no one will ever hire them again now that they know what liars and theives they are. Thank you everyone for reading my complaint, and a word of advice I learned after the purchase--"don't buy from someone you don't know." At least make sure you can get the information in the mail and be able to check the company out before the purchase. I really hope this site can help me get my money back.

Wow,
I can't believe I have made so many complaints without getting even a comment, and then all of a sudden a Ryan Nelson places a rebuttal on this site. How in the world did you, Ryan, even consider looking at this site to begin with if you are not even remotely related to the company I am complaining about?? (Considering I have e-mailed countless letters informing Herbal Pro of my report on this site.) I also find it interesting that you mention that you are in no way related to the business I am complaining about, yet you don't make a claim to what business you are related to. So please, what is the company's name and products, if you are so unashamed to mention them?
On June 1, 2004, I received a call from David Bergman, and a Ryan Nelson confirmed our conversation, and closed a sale with a special deal and money back guarantee on herbal diet pills. Now, if this wasn't you then there is another Ryan Nelson living in and around the La Crescenta Ca area, or it's you and you're a complete liar like I already posted. If it's the latter, I will continue to pray for your conscience to eat at you night and day until you find it fit to repay my stolen $367.95 back, even if it comes out of your own pocket. If you wish to make a rebuttal, maybe you should include more information to back up your story.

I am writing another update on my complaint on the company Herbamed. In all of my frustrations and struggles trying to locate a way to communicate with this "disappearing" company ripoffreports.com sent me an e-mail with a suggestion to do some research on the internet. I took their advice and when I put Herbamed's phone number into a yellow pages website the company name "Herbalpro" came up. I found Herbalpro's website, www.herbasmoke.com, and found out they sold the "exact" same products I purchased from Herbamed, and they are also very close in location in California. Another similarity that tipped me off to the fact that they are one and the same or similar companies is that when you dial their number, 1-800-358-5690, you get the exact same answering machine message!! How convenient for them to refuse to "talk" to any of their customers without hearing what it is they want first!! I knew I had to purchase the ripoffreport book to take action on this company. I decided that first I should write a complaint letter, sent certified of course, stating my problem and letting them know that if they did not respond to my letter or send me a refund within the month's time that I was going to go ahead and take further action against "their" company. Well, I sent the letter on December 7, 2004, and I received acknowledgement that an S Kwan (?) signed for the letter on December 9, 2004. The address is 2222 Foothill Blvd, Suite 124, La Canada, CA 91011-1456. They did "receive" my complaint by letter!!!! I never received any response either negative or positive to my letter, which tells me that they are one and same company since anyone else would deny any knowledge and involvement of such a fraudulent business. I even tried to send them an e-mail (which I found on the website) to request a fax number and they never answered this either. I refuse to leave messages on their answering machine, so I have no way of getting their fax number, (they wouldn't call me back anyway--they never have yet!!) but boy do I ever have multiple fax numbers and telephone numbers of businesses in their area that I can send my information to (many lawyers, banks, and private investigators!!). I also tried to call my bank to see about finding information on Herbamed's bank so they can know about their clients as well, and I am filing a dispute over the charges with them. Even though it's been several months I am still hoping that perhaps I can find some resolution to this problem even if its through my bank. Beware everyone of the business calling themselves Herbalpro---they are frauds!!! If anything, I can go on having the satisfaction that anyone and everyone who visits this site will know how this company lies and steals!!!!

If you are also a victim of this company--HerbaMed from La Crescenta California, don't try to call the phone number. It is now an unlisted number--1-866-437-2263--was this company even real??????? I really want to know---if ANYONE, I MEAN ANYONE, has any information on this company or the people who claim to run it, please let me know---I am at wits end and need my $368 back and I have no information, knowledge, or means of getting it back. I want/need to locate Ryan Nelson and David Bergman and report them to the police---they are thieves and need to return consumer's money.
