I thought I was purchasing a "First Run" DVD collection of the TV series "The Paper Chase", but I, too, received a bad copy of recorded discs in a VCR box, shipped from China, with no return address or accompanying paperwork, i.e. no way to trace the sender.
My e-mails, too, went unanwered. I tried Disc #1 in three different dvd players: only one would play the disc- for seven minutes then froze!
