Heritage acceptance is ripping me off charging me double for what my car is worth. elkhart Indiana
I feel that this company is charging me way over once the price was giving at 8k and papers were then signed they then overcharged me and the price went up to 17k and they still our over charging me at a very high interest rate this car should have been paid off but when I went to trade it in they said my payoff was 7600 and I have had this car since 09/12 and they put a gps in the car and have cut it off in the middle of nowhere even though they have got what the vehicle is worth and they are very rude to talk to.

A few things you still fail to understand
Your car has a GPS shut down device. This tells me that you bought your car from a Buy here, Pay here sales lot.
That means:
High interest
Inflated purchase prices
Questionable Cars
The Reality you need to understand: You signed a contract that included your purchase price, Interest rate, number of payments and should include all posible penalties and fees regarding late payments, set up and default.
So you have been paying religously, never late and have just realized how little you are paying toward the car due to the insane interest rate THAT YOU AGREED TO
At this point you should be realizing the dealer you bought your car from makes their money on the financing, not selling cars. THEY EXPECT YO TO PAY 3 TIMES OR MORE FOR YOUR CAR
If you don't pay they will ruin your credit even more.
Your State has a Non-Profit credit counseling service, it may be Government run or Private, THEY CAN HELP YOU. Be carefull and find a recomended Non-Profit as the ones that charge are usually rippoffs.
