Young man came to door representing himself as the son of a business associate of mine who was attending the University of Tennessee.

He said he was a journalism student who had the opportunity to do an internship with the BBC in England and was trying to raise money for his trip.

Also said if you didn't want the magazine they had a program where you could donate the magazine to wounded US troops so they would have some reading materials. I found this tactic to be particularly reprehensible.

I called my business associate to inquire how his son was doing with his fund raising project and he said his son wasn't doing anything like that nor planning any trips.

Although I gave him a check for my magazine subscription I have already stopped payment on that check and exercised my 3 day right of rescission to cancel the transaction with Heritage Marketing.

These guys need to do some jail time for employing these despicable and unethical practices.
