Heritage TPA Hides behind 3rd party administrator and lies about paying claim Dublin Ohio
The engine on our 2002 Cadillac STS needs to be replaced with only 57,000 miles on it. Heritage agreed to a "used" engine and located one in Texas; they want us to pay for it on our credit card ($2,200). I didn't like this idea and decided to do a little "homework" about the company. I googled Heritage TPA and my suspicions proved right! Not that I was happy about that. I called the 3rd party administrator at 1-800-753-5236 and questioned him about going to work everyday and lying to innocent policy holders. He (Gordan) asked me if I had anything else to say. I then asked him how he could sleep at night.
Bottom line, we have a $548 car payment due; we owe Cadillac $1,000 for tearing down the engine to determine problem, we effectively have no warranty and no vehicle to drive.
Prior to this, I contacted GM because we felt a Northstar Engine shouldn't have to be replaced at 57,000 miles (we were diligent with maintenance). GM apologized and said they couldn't help us. Maybe we should go to the government for a bail-out!!
