Heritage Warranty Mutual Insurance Failed to consider qualified [post-automotive repair] claim Lincoln Nebraska
My Camaro went into a reputable Chevrolet dealership for regular oil/filter maintenance and check-up. The technician found a faulty water pump, tensioner and ASR lamp (integral to the switch).
I authorized the work and it was completed in a timely manner.
I then asked the dealership to call Heritage to submit a warranty claim. The request was denied because the work wasn't pre-authorized by them.
I paid the bill so I could get my car back and all I want is for the Heritage company to pay what they normally would.
I called them and got the same response as the dealership -- No. It wasn't pre-authorized.
This is not a good situation for an insurance policy that cost approximately 10% of the vehicle purchase price.
