My 2000 Jeep Cherokee was loosing coolant somewhere. I took it to my machanic and he did a pressure test and found no leeks. I took car home and a day later I had to add coolant again. I notified car dealership that I had bought car from and they said to bring car to them and that they would take my car to machanic that deals with Heritage Insurance. They could not find any leak so they then called Heritage to inform them that engine would have to be opened up.

They found that engine block was cracked and Heritage sent and adjuster to inspect problem. He said that they would cover damage. So heritage sent 2 more adjusters, the second pearson said they would cover damage but 3rd one said that it was a bad thermostat that caused problem and that I had been driving car while it overheated. Car never once overheated and was verified by both machenics and dealership which drove car.

Machecics also had tested thermostat to be good and had told the adjusters. Heritage would not here of it and said that they would only cover the thermostat. I had to pay $2000 for repairs. I had bought car used from dealership in Feb of 2003 and problem happened in Nov. 2003.
