Hospital Ripoff, money gouging, no response and rights ignored.

Going into minor care just to get a doctors excuse to return to work so that I would not lose my job. I was given the opportunity to refuse emergency service and I did.

To my surprise, I received a bill for $900 because I was given emergency service even when I refused it. I was told it was up to the attending nurse to make that decision.

I tried to write to the administrator and never got a reply to my complaint. They put the bill on my credit report and caused my credit score to decrease and was turned down for good rates on my home equity loan because of this.

I cant understand how you can try to get something to keep a job that pays less than the bill I acquired to keep it. This is so unfair when all I wanted was a doctors excuse stating I had a minor illness that made me late for work.
