If Rick Herrera or any of this relatives come to your neighborhood, threaten to call the police if they do not leave your premises.  In fact, if any Kirby vacuum sales person comes to you with - REFUSE to engage with them.

Rick stalked me at my own house after having his pregnant "neice" schedule an appointment....I use " " because when I mentioned her, he didn't act like I knew what I was talkign about. She was probably some crack head he gave 5 buks to. I tried to cancel the appointment, but the phone number she gave me was wrong....he showed up and I made the biggest mistake of my life letting him in.

I repeat DO NOT TRUST Rick Herrera, or any other Kirby sales person....After 2 hours he would not leave, and when I said I was not interested he started to get mad....I am a single woman, and was home alone.  I know it was so stupid for me to engage with a door to door sales person.  After 2.5 hours I finally bought the vacuum to get him out of my house.

I had the vacuum for less than a month and the belt broke.  I tried the number i got for Rick, but it was not in service, so I called Kirby saying I wanted to return it and get my old vacuum back (WHICH RICK TOOK).  They told me I only could have returned in within 3 days, that's the Federal Cooling Off Period Law....But there was no way i could have returned it....I didn't have a phone number.  They finally sent me to the dealer Rick bought it from, and he was no help either...he told me to watch the DVD....

Plain and simple.....KIRBY IS A SCAM, and I am astonished that Warren Buffett owns the company.

A new belt will run you anywhere from 2$-20$ depending on where you buy it. Kirby is still a very powerful vacume cleaner. I would suggest that you hit up a vacume and sewing repair shop. They tend to have cheaper prices on belts.
