Herschend Family Entertainment - Silver Dollar City Hires illegal aliens who are rude and dangerous ripoff Branson Missouri
I am a local Hotel owner in the Branson Missouri area.
Over the last couple of years I have noticed a large number of Russian, turkish, Hispanic, and Belezian teens working at the park (and all the others that Herschend Family Entertainment owns or runs including: Celebration City, WhiteWater, s****.>
27 teens answered that they were from Russia, Turkey, etc. and were here for a 6 month period of time on tourist visas. I asked how they were able to work as tourist visas specificaly do not allow employment. I was told that they were actually employed by "employment agencies" who provided them with social security cards in their names (fake numbers) and that Herschend Family Entertainment did not check to see if they were legitimate.
After the large number of similiar responses I decided to go to the park office and ask the managers why they hired illegal workers, and was asked to leave the park and never return. I immigrated to the US LEGALLY in 1970 and have worked very hard to get to where I am today and do not appreciate this "American" company who breakes the law for financial gain. I am an American Citizen for 26 years and very proud of the fact, and cannot tolerate those that exploit immigrants.
I am very concerned for the health of people who eat at HFE's parks as those doing the cooking are also on tourist visas (some are true illegal immigrants from Belieze and Mexico) and have not been health screened or have not had proper food handling classes. I am also concerned as many persons working maintenance positions and security speak little english.
My hope is that people will see this and call to encourage HFE to hire AMERICANS who are not ill and who are properly trained, and who are legal to work. For everyone's safety.

I have worked construction in Branson during the boom and sence retired and visited the named sights.
How ever I cant say it is an over welming problem I had a problem at one of the parks with a handful of illeagals that did work there how ever the management was swift in defusing the situation and believe dealt with the people.
But I cant say the park owners deliberately hire illeagals and doupt highly thay would allow mistreatment of any of there guest.
I would agree with the ongoing problem with illeagal immigration could a few get past the employment proses yes.
On the other hand there is a higher likelihood the problem is in the hotel motel industry as far as ma-int and room cleaners.
I disagree with having illeagals working but love the branson themes sutch as silver dollar city and white water are thay perfact probably not but thay are honest.

My family and I have been to silver dollar city in branson missouri many times. We have never every been treated Rude by any of the employees there. also I have never noticed any employee working at the park that looked Non american. The food there is very very good and from what Ive seen. The food looks very clean and all the people that serve it looks american and very clean looking people. All of the employees that work at silver dollar city is very very friendly people and they ask you if your having a good time and if everything is going alright. The park has supervisors that go walking around watching how employees treats the customers and they will ask you when ever you happen to meet one If your enjoying yourself and if everything is going alright. I find this report hard to beleave since Ive been there many times and have never noticed any employees that looked to be Non American and have never ever been treated Rude by any of the employees at the park.

My Husband and I both work for Herschend Family Entertainment/Silver Dollar City Corporate Offices. There is not one instance of illegal employment practice in our company. The "illegal immigrants" to which the report was referring to were people who entertained for us during our Annual World Fest.
I do wish the hotel owner the best in his business as we are having a very stellar year this year at all of our properties.
Regarding comments about the sanitary conditions of our Foods Dept. We have strict guidelines/proceedures that we follow in delivering quality and authentic food to our guests. We are inspected at various times throughout the year and have not one instance of unsanitary/hazardous conditions.
